Edo: Two Lives Lost in Cult Clash at AAU
Two students from the Edo State University, AAU, Ekpoma were tragically killed during a clash between rival cult groups in the state, as reported by Obasanjonews.com.
The clash also claimed the life of an official from the Students’ Union Government of the institution.
The incident occurred last Friday, with the Students’ Union Government official identified as a 400-Level student in the Faculty of Agriculture.
The fatal event took place at the poultry road extension in Ekpoma.

Additionally, within less than 48 hours prior to this clash, a student named Eddy was reportedly assaulted and left for dead by a group of individuals who accused him of using a “fake bank alert” for purchases.
The misunderstanding of this incident led to a false assumption that Eddy was attacked by rival cult members, resulting in his death.
This misinterpretation of events sparked a retaliation from a rival cult group, leading to the tragic deaths of the two students on Friday.
The Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Police Command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the killings and mentioned that investigations are ongoing with some suspects already in custody.
