Destiny Enabulele, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was dismissed on Friday by the Edo State House of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal, which is based in Benin.
On March 15, the Independent National Electoral Commission proclaimed him the victor of the Ovia South West constituency election.
The APC candidate, Sunday Aghedo, was proclaimed by the judiciary as the legitimate victor of the election.

The tribunal determined that Aghedo and his group, the petitioners, had successfully proven their cases beyond a reasonable doubt.
Enabulele and the PDP had been hauled before the tribunal by Aghedo and the APC, who were contesting INEC’s proclamation of Enabulele as the election winner.
They asserted that among other things, the election was tainted by fraud, anomalies, and disregard for the Electoral Act.
