Reinstated Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu was seen in a widely shared video praising the outcome of the state’s ongoing gubernatorial election.
According to OBASANJONEWS, election officials began downloading results as early as 3 p.m. from polling places throughout the state.
Ninety-three percent of the polling unit results have been successfully transferred to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Result Viewing Portal.

Monday Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, has won the majority of the voting units that have been announced thus far.
There have been celebrations in several places, particularly among the ruling party’s members.
