Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Asue Ighodalo has disclosed the parameters that would lead to his concession of defeat as the governorship election in Edo State nears on September 21.
In an appearance on Politics Today by Channels TV, Ighodalo disclosed that he will only accept defeat if it is a result of a fair and unbiased process.
Nevertheless, he is assured of triumph due to his evaluation of the campaign and his harmonious relationship with the inhabitants of Edo State.

Edo residents were urged by Ighodalo to exercise their voting rights with the assurance of prioritized safety during the election. He stressed that solely, it would be determined by Edo State citizens.
After pondering a discussion he had with his daughter regarding the potential for defeat, Ighodalo stated that if they were to lose fairly and justly in this election, then he is more than willing to accept defeat. However, he firmly believes that victory will be attained as long as there is an equal playing field present.
“My connection with the people is strong and they have placed their trust in me and my party,” he declared. He was confident that a level playing field would lead to victory for him and his team.
