Prior to the upcoming governorship election in Edo State on September 21, Prince Felix Abubakar Isuku, a member of the Asue Ighodalo Campaign Council, has decided to step down from his position within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Isuku’s resignation was formally communicated through a letter directed to the PDP state chairman and other relevant officials last Friday.
Citing the power struggle that arose from the party’s factionalization in the state, Isuku expressed his reasons for leaving the party in the resignation letter, highlighting the internal conflicts and megalomaniac attitudes of certain party leaders as contributing factors to his decision.
