The Edo chapter of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) has declared that they will boycott the upcoming September 21, 2024, governorship election in the state if the candidates from various political parties do not include plans and programs for farmers in their manifestoes.
The State chairman of AFAN, Alhaji Bako Dogwo, emphasized this stance during an interview with journalists in Benin City on Sunday.
He further insisted that any political party emerging victorious in the election should appoint a commissioner for Agriculture from their ranks.
