For the collection of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC) in the state, Ebonyi Governor David Umahi has declared a two-day public holiday from Thursday to Friday for all civil and public officials, including primary and secondary schools.
In a statement released on Monday in Abakaliki by Mr. Uchenna Orji, Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Umahi made this claim.

He said that this was done because of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) deadline for collecting PVCs all over the country.
This is to make it easier for the good people of Ebonyi who have yet to pick up their PVCs to go to their respective local government PVC Collection Centers and do so, keeping in mind that Sunday, January 29, is the final day for collection.
