The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Working Committee, or NWC, has authorized the immediate dissolution of the executive committees of its Ebonyi and Ekiti State Chapters.
This was mentioned in a statement released by the party’s national publicity secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, on Wednesday evening.
Ologunagba did not specify the cause of the dissolution, but did claim that the NWC had held extensive discussions and consultations prior to the development.
He mentioned that the choice was in accordance with the party’s constitution’s Sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2)(e), as revised in 2017.
“The National Working Committee (NWC) hereby approves the dissolution of the Executive Committees of the Ebonyi and Ekiti States Chapters of our great Party with immediate effect after careful consideration and consultation.
The statement continued, “The PDP calls on all leaders, significant players, and throngs of Party members in Ebonyi and Ekiti States, respectively, to remain together and focused on the work at hand.
