During the search for a missing submarine near the Titanic, Canadian aircraft hears underwater noises.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, a Canadian aircraft has discovered underwater noises while searching for a submersible that disappeared while transporting five people to the Titanic disaster.
The search has been moved because of the noises that the Canadian P-3 aircraft heard. These searches have been unsuccessful, but they are still going on.
An underwater robot had begun looking near the Titanic in addition to an international fleet of ships and aircraft, and there was a drive to get recovery equipment to the area in case the sub was discovered.
According to a U.S. Air Mobility Command official, three C-17 transport aircraft from the American military were employed to transfer a commercial submersible and related equipment from Buffalo, New York, to St. John’s, Newfoundland, to help with the search. The Canadian military claimed to have sent two surface ships, one of which specialized in diving medical, and a patrol aircraft.
Authorities launched a search in waters about 435 miles (700 kilometers) south of St. John’s after receiving a word that the carbon-fiber yacht was overdue on Sunday night. Pilot Stockton Rush, the CEO of the corporation organizing the expedition, was in charge. A British explorer, two members of a Pakistani business family, and a Titanic expert were among his passengers.
