Senegal will play the D’Tigress in the championship game.
The D’Tigress have advanced to the Women’s AfroBasket title final of FIBA 2023.
They won the semifinal game against the tournament’s hosts Rwanda 79-48 to advance to the final for the fourth consecutive time.
The girls of Rena Wakama dominated the opening period of the contest, defeating the hosts 22-6. Nigeria held a 26-point advantage at the halftime break.
However, Rwanda trimmed the gap in the third quarter by 16 points. Nigeria won 58–35 in the final score.
The last period saw Nigeria maintain their lead as they won the tie.
Senegal will play the D’Tigress after defeating Mali in the other semifinal. On Saturday, there will be a women’s Afrobasket championship game.

Nigeria would win its sixth overall and fourth consecutive continental championship if they prevail in the final.
The D’Tigress have qualified for the Paris 2024 Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament thanks to their victory on Thursday.
The lone female coach in the competition is from Nigeria.
