DSS Raids Ogun Court to Apprehend Defendants

DSS operatives reportedly raided a high court in Ilaro, Ogun State, arresting two defendants involved in a case presided over by Justice A.A. Shobayo.

The case revolved around allegations of arson reported by Akeem Adigun, involving Alhaji Isiaka Fatai, Samuel Oyero, and 12 others.

The town of Agosasa had recently faced a crisis due to an Obaship tussle, resulting in property damage and loss of life.

Alhaji Isiaka’s counsel, Kehinde Bamiwola Esq, claimed that the DSS operatives used force during the arrest, mistreating Alhaji Isiaka.

The Principal Registrar of the High Court, Comrade Omololu Olusanya, condemned the incident as a violation of the rule of law, noting that despite the judge’s instructions against arrests on court premises, the operatives proceeded to make the arrests, causing disturbance and assaulting court staff.
