A tragic incident unfolded in Nasarawa state as a drunk driver fatally struck three sisters, claiming their lives.

Suleiman Ozakwo’s family in Anguwar Baiyi, Toto LGA, Nasarawa State, experienced a tragic event when a drunk driver, Ya Zakari, drove a Toyota Corolla and fatally injured three of their daughters.
A family member, Saidu Alhassan, informed City & Crime that the incident took place on Friday at 4 p.m.
He mentioned that the three teenage sisters, Nusaiba, Maryam, and Rumaisa, were struck by the vehicle after leaving their home to visit their uncle’s wife for Sallah, just a few meters away from the ohinoyi’s palace.
According to him, “They were walking on the side of the road on their way back from their uncle’s house when a speeding drunk driver hit them with his car, resulting in their immediate death.”
The suspect was apprehended and taken to the police station, but later a group of people demanded the vehicle he was driving, which they set on fire.
Suleiman Ozakwo, the father of the deceased girls, expressed his grief over their sudden passing, acknowledging that he could not question God for the tragedy and requested prayers for the peaceful rest of his daughters’ souls.
During City & Crime’s visit to the police station, an unnamed police officer disclosed that the individual in question had been apprehended for driving under the influence, resulting in a fatal accident involving three teenage girls. The officer mentioned that the suspect would face charges in court on Monday.
