Ayodele Fayose’s brother, the former Ekiti State Governor, has sparked controversy by proclaiming himself as the PDP National Chairman. In a surprising political maneuver, he announced the suspension of prominent figures such as Atiku Abubakar and Nyesom Wike.
Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti governor Ayo Fayose, has announced that he is the new National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Isaac additionally announced the suspension of several prominent members from both factions of the party, including Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Nyesom Wike, Ayo Fayose, Seyi Makinde, and other G5 members.
He mentioned that anyone upset by his decision should contest it in court.
“I am now officially the new National Chairman of the PDP. The current Acting National Chairman, Mr. Damagum, has been suspended, and I have instructed security at Wadata House to leave the key with the Secretariat.”
If you’re not satisfied, we kindly ask that you refrain from causing disturbances at the secretariat. Instead, feel free to take your concerns to court. Additionally, members of the NWC who have been suspended should leave all PDP materials with security personnel at Wandata. The former G5 group and Wike are also under suspension.

“Fayose has been suspended, as well as Governor Seyi Makinde. Everyone involved in anti-party activities has faced suspension. Atiku is also suspended due to the complications his ambitions are causing us,” he announced.
It was previously reported that a faction within the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) had suspended Damagum and Samuel Anyanwu, the party’s National Secretary.
The factional National Working Committee also suspended Debo Ologunagba, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, and Kamaldeen Ajibade, the National Legal Adviser.
The Abuja Federal High Court has prohibited the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the PDP’s Board of Trustees (BoT) from ousting Damagum as the party’s Acting National Chairman.
The court mandated that only Damagum should be acknowledged as the PDP national chairman until the party’s national convention scheduled for December of next year.
