On Monday morning, on the well-liked Arise television programme, Rufai Oseni and Jesutega Onokpasa, a prominent member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), got into a heated argument.
During the show, Oseni, who was interviewing Onokpasa, expressed disagreement with the chieftain’s position over the elimination of fuel subsidies.
Oseni was speaking when Onokpasa tried to cut him off, but the interviewer demanded that he finish his question.
Let me to wrap up, Mr. Onokpasa. Please let me finish. Oseni was adamant.

Onokpasa said that the interviewer was impolite because he did not like the way Rufai spoke to him.
Dear young man, please don’t yell at me. Rufai, please don’t yell at me. You will honour me since I am your guest. If you get angry with me, I’ll leave your studio. Talk politely with me. With her fingers pointing towards the screen, Onokpasa said.
“You may well take your decision if you want to,” Oseni responded. I have a query for you. You have the option to leave if you so choose.
Dr. Reuben Abati attempted to intercede, but Onokpasa refused to respond to Oseni’s inquiry and the two continued speaking simultaneously.
Abati eventually had enough and asked for a break as a result.
