Doguwa has vowed to deliver Kano State to the APC before noon on the 2027 election day, responding to recent comments by Jibrin.
Hon. Alhassan Doguwa, the Chairman of the Petroleum Resources (Upstream) Committee in the House of Representatives, has once again responded to Abdulmumin Jibrin’s recent allegation. Mr. Jibrin is a member of Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency and represents New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).
Doguwa had been proposed by Jibrin as a noteworthy peril to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Bola Tinubu’s sway in Kano State.
In a statement, Doguwa opposed Jibrin’s focus on him instead of addressing the serious allegations, indicating an effort to deflect attention.
In particular, Doguwa made mention of allegations pertaining to the demise of seven people at the time of 2019 election campaigns. This was in relation to Jibrin supposedly directing a gang assault on ex-Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and Governor Abba Yusuf in Kano State.

In connection with the incident, Doguwa highlighted that Jibrin and an additional 70 individuals were apprehended.
Doguwa stressed his importance in the APC, both at a local and national level, asserting that he continues to play a crucial role in contributing to the party’s triumph.
He observed his exceptional status as the only lawfully elected representative of APC from Kano South Senatorial District in the present House of Representatives.
Doguwa asserted that he is currently the sole elected member under APC in Kano South, and despite obstacles faced along the way, he has been able to return to his position at House of Representatives with tremendous support.
His criticism of NNPP’s governance in Kano State centered on the party’s failure to make any meaningful contribution towards the development of the state.
Doguwa claimed that instead of addressing the welfare and well-being of Kano’s inhabitants, NNPP prioritizes political revenge.
Doguwa urged the APC leadership to designate him as the coordinator and director-general of their campaign in Kano for the upcoming 2027 elections.
He made a confident promise to ensure that the APC wins in the state before noon on election day.
Doguwa humbly appeals to the leaders of our esteemed party, APC, for permission to lead and manage as Director-General of Kano State’s APC Campaign in 2027. He promises to achieve both gubernatorial and presidential triumphs before noon with the help of God Almighty.
Upon contemplation of his political journey, Doguwa emphasized his dedication to legislative responsibilities and allegiance to his superiors. He claimed that he has been faultless and never faced suspension during the entirety of 33 years in office as a member of the House of Representatives.
He concluded by saying, “I humbly state that I am presently the most experienced member in the nation. There is ample evidence of my commitment to serving my constituents and working jointly with security agencies.”
