DJ killed by armed men during robbery at Abuja nightclub

A disc jockey named Bashir Dauda was killed during a nightclub event at the Volcano Peak Court Hotel in the Gwarimpa district of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) by suspected armed robbers.

SP The event was verified by Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), in a statement on Sunday evening.

She said that the gunman broke into the area at approximately 3:35 a.m. on Saturday.

She said that as soon as the Gwarimpa Police Division received a distress call, officers were sent to the area.

According to her, after the agents had secured the hotel, they found that “one Bashir Dauda had been shot by the attackers.”

“The victim was expeditiously transported to the Federal Medical Centre Jabi, where the attending physicians pronounced him deceased.

The family requested that the body be buried in accordance with Islamic customs, and it was granted. The statement further stated that “further developments will be communicated in due course as the investigation to apprehend the culprits is still ongoing.”
