President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been instructed by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to seek out Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mr. Peter Obi’s plans in order to speed up the nation-building process.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos, Mr. Femi Olaniyi, the South-West Zonal Secretary of the SDP, provided the guidance following the Supreme Court’s ruling on Thursday.

While extending his congratulations to Tinubu, he added that everyone’s ambitions for Nigeria would come true with the right guidance.

“It is not the time to make any excuses. In reality, Tinubu ought to begin accepting suggestions from all contenders for the nation’s top job.

He said, “As they both aspired to rule because of the suffering masses and to reshape the country, the President should seek advice and ideas from Mr. Peter Obi of the LP and Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.”

Olaniyi, however, asked Obi and Atiku to be prepared to offer Tinubu ideas that would help Nigeria effectively compete in the international community, for the good of the country.

“As true leaders and citizens, we should put politics behind us now. The highest court has rendered a decision after the election.

“For the sake of this nation’s future, all presidential candidates ought to collaborate and be a part of this government.

He stated, “It is not necessary for them to be directly involved in Tinubu’s administration, but with suggestions and counsel, a new chapter in Nigerian history can be written soon.”

Additionally, he asked all parties involved to view President Tinubu’s vision for Nigeria as everyone’s to pursue.

He claims that all matters pertaining to policy-making and governance have now been settled by the ruling of the highest court.

“Tinubu should run, restore the economy, and lower inflation now that he has the mandate in its entirety.

“It is greatly relieving for him (Tinubu) to concentrate entirely on leading and constructing the nation. He declared, “The president needs to buckle up now more than ever.”

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) filed appeals against Tinubu’s election victory on February 25. On Thursday, the Supreme Court denied their requests.
