Cyriel Dessers has vowed to keep up the fight in his quest to start every game for Glasgow Rangers of the Scottish Premiership.

Dessers was forced to leave Rangers’ starting lineup before making a comeback in Sunday’s victory over Motherwell at home.

The game-winning goal was scored by the Nigerian international.

Since joining the team from Italian club Cremonese in the summer, the 28-year-old has received consistent criticism from both critics and fans.

However, the striker is eager to establish himself as a regular member of the squad.

“Starting these crucial games is my sole focus during the workweek. The manager is currently making decisions, and that is a part of football, according to Dessens, who was quoted by Daily Record.

“It’s a perk of playing for a major organisation like Rangers. I put forth a lot of effort every day, and I’ll keep pushing myself. I’ll wait for my chance, and when it comes, I’ll display it on the pitch. In football, that is everything.

For Rangers this season, Dessers has scored three goals in all competitions.
