Teniola Apata, better known by her stage name Teni, is a Nigerian musician who has explained that she did not lose weight through surgery as some had thought.
She clarified that in order to get her new body shape, she followed a “strict diet.”
In the most recent Zero Conditions podcast, Teni gave a speech.
“I went through a lot,” she remarked. I underwent numerous transformations. Some unfortunate people said that I had surgery when I lost weight.
“My stomach would be flat if I had surgery. I wish I hadn’t been afraid. Surgery is not a simple procedure. It poses a hazard to life. Getting surgery is not an easy process. I followed a rigorous diet. Consult my supervisors. Absent carbohydrates. I spent two months adhering to a rigorous diet.
However, it gave me discipline. Another muscle is the mind. Just like discipline helps you flex your limbs, it also helps you flex your mind. It wasn’t simple. Can you imagine how awkward it is for me to take folks out to dinner when I am unable to partake in their food?
“I decided to drop the extra pounds after surviving a potentially fatal case of COVID-19. COVID-19 struck me twice, in 2020 and 2021. Thus, following the COVID-19 in January 2022, I simply stated, “Omo, it’s time [to lose weight].”
