Precious Ojo, alias Obago, a suspected online fraudster, has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The 26-year-old was detained in Oghara, Delta State, as a result of a petition against his actions that was received from an American citizen.

On Wednesday, Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC’s head of media and publicity, released a statement regarding the investigation.

The petitioner claimed that the suspect defrauded the victim of $268,000 by pretending to be Raymond Bush, a worker at the US Treasury.

Ojo, who was detained at his hotel in Oghara, admitted that the money from the suspected crime was used to build the building.
