Gunmen attacked a vehicle in Delta State, shooting three people and stealing cash in broad daylight. Learn more about this shocking incident.
On Tuesday, two occupants of a Toyota Camry were violently attacked by unidentified gunmen in Asaba, Delta State. The victims sustained severe injuries and the attackers made away with an unspecified amount of money.
Panic ensued among residents and passersby who fled in fear at the incident that occurred on Old Awai Road within the state capital.
According to eyewitnesses, the assailants intercepted a vehicle with a government plate number and specifically targeted two male occupants.

The assailants, who were traveling in a vehicle as well, seized two sizable bags known as “Ghana-must-go” sacks that supposedly held an important sum of cash before abruptly departing to an indeterminate destination.
Concerned citizens rushed the victims, who suffered critical injuries from the attack, to an undisclosed hospital. Although their condition remains unclear, sources suggest that they are receiving urgent medical attention.
Mr. Bright Edafe, the Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State opted not to give any further details on the occurrence when contacted for remarks.
