The case submitted by former vice president of the Senate Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressive Congress, APC, disputing the win of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the March 18 election has been dismissed by the Delta State Governorship Election case Tribunal.

On Friday, the Justice C.H. Ahuchaogu-led panel issued the decision.

Because the petition contained unsupported charges, it was dismissed.

The court said that it was speculative and without merit.

In the vote held on March 18, Omo-Agege came in second.

He is contesting the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) determination that Oborevwori is the election’s victor.

The lawsuits involving the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the PDP as well as the Labour Party (LP) and the PDP have not yet been decided by the judges.
