Dele Momodu, the publisher of Ovation magazine, has explained why he changed his mind after initially supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Due to his refusal to back Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, the former presidential candidate and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been engaged in a social media debate with APC supporters.
In a recent article on X, Momodu criticised APC followers, saying they were fixated on an interview in which he claimed Tinubu paid him 500 pounds in London during his exile years.
He argued that the gift wasn’t intended to turn him into a lifelong slave and added that he had already paid it back a thousand times over.
On Wednesday night, he said on X, “I will support a government that appears to be very reasonable and sympathetic to the citizens of Nigeria.”
“I could have backed the APC in 2015, but I recognised the warning signs that Buhari was taking us to the cross early on. APC has been in the wrong for less than six months.
