In order to secure a second term in power, President Bola Tinubu was advised on Tuesday by Dele Momodu, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to bolster his cabinet with the brightest minds.

Momodu stated that Tinubu ought to appoint Nigerians who can assist in overcoming the obstacles the nation faces.

The senior journalist and publisher of Ovation magazine, speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos, stated that many Nigerians had a rough time during Tinubu’s last year in office.

Momodu asserts: “Nigeria is endowed with some of the most exceptional people on the world, dispersed around the globe. Track them down and introduce them to the government.

“Performance in the first term is the finest approach to get a second term by any leader.

“My sincere recommendation, motivated by patriotism, is that you bring on the best candidates as soon as possible.”

Momodu further advised the President to surround himself with dependable, frank critics.

Momodu stated that the President will benefit from having those who confront authority with the truth, even if he described the sycophantic culture as an impediment to good government.

In order to further the nation’s growth, he pleaded with Tinubu to find a solution to what he called the country’s energy issue.

Additionally, the publisher urged the President to deal with the issue of national insecurity.

I do not believe we will be prepared to march forward with other nations in comity until we have resolved the energy dilemma.

“A state of emergency in the areas of infrastructure, education, food security, and general security is also necessary,” he stated.
