Dele Alli expressed his optimism and determination to return to the field after a challenging period of more than a year on the sidelines.

In a heartfelt interview, Dele opened up about his childhood, mental health struggles, and time spent in rehabilitation.

The 28-year-old Everton midfielder last played in February 2023 during a loan spell at Besiktas and has since been dealing with hip and groin injuries.

Despite the setbacks, Dele emphasized that this experience has only fueled his hunger to make a comeback.

He acknowledged that prior to this injury, the longest he had been sidelined was eight weeks, which felt like an eternity.

Dele credited the process he went through in the summer, including a six-week stint in rehab for a sleeping pill addiction and mental health issues, for helping him cope with the challenges he has faced.
