Vice President Kashim Shettima, who was initially set to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 2024 US-Africa Business Summit organized by the Corporate Council on Africa, had to change plans due to a technical issue with his aircraft.

As a result, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will now step in to represent President Tinubu at the summit, which is scheduled to take place from May 6 to May 9, 2024.

The summit, set to be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, will bring together political and business leaders from various regions for high-level dialogues, networking sessions, and plenaries aimed at fostering economic cooperation and exploring investment opportunities between the United States and African countries.
