According to Diginsa, the PDP’s executive members in the council, along with 360 other members, left the party due to a lack of direction and subpar state leadership.
“Despite our positions within the party, we decided to leave PDP because of the amazing leadership and dedication of the current governor of Jigawa State, Mallam Namadi, in the short six months that he has been in office,” he continued.
“Looking at his 12-point agenda, we are confident that Governor Mallam Umar Namadi will succeed in leading the state.”
Alhaji Aminu Sani Gumel, the state chairman of the APC, stated that the party is open to accepting anyone for the advancement of the organisation after welcoming the decamped members at Kwanar Dole.
Gumel pledged to collaborate with the newcomers to ensure the party’s triumph.
