Authorities have found the decomposing bodies of two teenage girls in a forest, sparking an investigation into their mysterious deaths. The incident has raised safety concerns in the local community.

The Amotekun Corps, a regional security organization in southwest Nigeria, has discovered the decomposing bodies of two teenage girls in a wooded area near Aramoko-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The shocking discovery was connected to a 29-year-old suspect, O. Philip, thought to be a serial killer. He was apprehended by Amotekun operatives in Ogun State during a focused operation.

The Head of Communications for the security organization, Adeleye Abiodun Adewale, confirmed Thursday’s incident and revealed that the suspect had allegedly killed at least three young girls in various locations across Ogun State. Among the victims was an 18-year-old girl.

Adewale revealed that the suspect had been in the Ijjao area of Aramoko-Ekiti for approximately a month, during which he allegedly killed two other girls, identified as Taiwo and Fatoki Seun.

Adewale explained that Taiwo’s body was discovered in a bush along Egbewa Street, near an unfinished building in Aramoko-Ekiti. Meanwhile, Fatoki Seun’s remains were found in another bush on Oke-Oja Street within the same town.

He mentioned that by the time they were discovered, the remains were infested with maggots and already significantly decomposed.

Later, health and environmental officers transported the bodies to the General Hospital in Aramoko-Ekiti for further investigation and appropriate management.
