Deaf man beheads farmer in Ekiti, causing panic

There is a noticeable unease in Agbado-Ekiti, Ayekire Local Government Area’s Ipole farm settlement after it was reported that Sunday Alabi, a deaf and dumb man, decapitated Sikiru, also known as Badoo.

The deaf and dumb man went to Sikiru’s farm to steal some maize, and when Sikiru walked outside to confront him, the suspect attacked him with a machete and almost severed his head, according to reports from the farm village.

Before any other farmers noticed him and called the police, the assailant had already left the victim lying in a pool of his own blood.

When contacted, DSP Sunday Abutu, the spokesman for the Ekiti Police Command, verified the event and stated that the suspect had been taken into custody.
