De Bruyne Slams FIFA, UEFA: All They Care About is Money

De Bruyne slams FIFA and UEFA, claiming their decisions are driven by financial gain rather than the best interests of football or its players.

This season’s demanding schedule has been criticized by Kevin De Bruyne, the Manchester City midfielder.

The concern of the Belgian revolves around the quantity of matches in which athletes will take part this season.

FIFA and UEFA were specifically criticized by the ex-Chelsea midfielder for increasing fixtures.

It is anticipated that De Bruyne’s Manchester City squad will vie for success in all competitions organized by FIFA, UEFA and the English FA throughout this season.

UEFA and FIFA were accused by the 33-year-old of prioritizing money above player welfare.

“Perhaps this year things will go smoothly,” he expressed through Mundo Deportivo. “However, it could become problematic next year. The PFA in England and other players’ associations worldwide are actively searching for solutions.”

There lies an issue where UEFA and FIFA have increased the number of matches. Despite attempting to voice our concerns, we are unable to find a solution as their primary concern is money-driven rather than addressing these problems.

The actual issue, in my opinion, will arise upon the conclusion of the Club World Cup. It’s worth noting that there’ll only be a three-week gap between the final and the onset of Premier League matches.
