The father of famous music artist Davido, Adedeji Adeleke, made an impressive move by giving a generous donation of N1 billion to the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church.
In memory of his late mother, Madam Esther Adeleke, a substantial contribution was presented at the church’s headquarters in Lagos during a Thanksgiving service held on Sunday.
During his speech at the event, Mr. Adeleke conveyed that he was donating in memory of his revered late mother, Mrs. Esther Adeleke’s enormous standing within their church community. “In tribute to our esteemed matriarch – a Senior Mother in Israel – we are pledging N1 billion towards the Centenary Endowment Fund,” he declared.

Distinguished personalities graced the occasion, among whom Governor Dapo Abiodun lauded the Adeleke family for their benevolence. Additionally, Davido and Governors Ademola Adeleke of Osun State and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State were present at the event.
Harold Demuren, an Aeronautical Engineer and ex-Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) who is now serving as Deputy Baba Aladura, expressed admiration for the unrelenting dedication shown by the Adeleke family to their religious faith and benevolent deeds.
According to him, “The unwavering commitment exhibited by the Adelekes towards both God and humanity highlights a remarkable blend of humility and consistency in service.”
In 2025, the Centennial Anniversary of the establishment of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church by Pa Moses Orimolade Tunolase will be commemorated.
