Davido visits the commissioner of police ahead of Lagos concert

Ahead of his eagerly anticipated performance in the state, Nigerian Afrobeats musician David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, paid a visit to Lagos State Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa.

In a roundtable discussion with the commissioner and other security personnel, the DMW head was accompanied by members of his team in a series of videos and pictures from the visit.

In response to a question about the safety of the attendees, Davido said that his trip was motivated by the need to ensure the security of his guests and fans who will be at the ‘Timeless’ event on April 23.

According to him, his team’s method of providing security for all participants continues to be working together with the police.

He explained: “They are worried about security, so that’s why we came to let them know that we are taking steps, working with the Lagos Police, to secure the fans that come to see the concert, to secure them to go in and leave securely.

“I additionally believed that it was crucial for us to attend because people don’t typically do this. If the artists didn’t show up, the organizers might call the police on the day of the performance. However, I think that after this, lots of people will go to the police station to help guard the area.

The going might be a little difficult. The other fans can be disturbed by certain overexcited followers.
