Davido, a singer, made a sly jab at Amaju Pinnick, the former president of the Nigerian Football Federation, after the football official accused him of declining to appear at a gathering in Warri, Delta State, despite being paid more than $94,600.

The singer was criticised by Pinnick on Friday on the 19th installment of “Warri Again,” who said the promoters had also reserved a private plane for the “Unavailable Crooner” for $18,000 but that he had never arrived.

He claimed that in order to fill the spot, the planners had to look elsewhere and choose Shallipopi.

On April 6, “We paid Davido $94,600. His plane cost $18,000 from us.

“We will tell him we are bigger than him if he claims to be a big boy.

“I’m serious. So, as he was playing back and forth, we made the decision to look for Shallipopi, another artist.

“You see, I’m shocked when people claim to be large. Is Burna Boy not currently the most popular artist in Nigeria? Burna Boy has Itsekiri ancestry. Itsekiri is the maternal grandmother of Burna Boy. He is therefore larger than Davido.

“Warri is home to several stars. “Warri is the biggest,” he declared.

The Afrobeats musician assured his supporters in Warri that he would soon visit their hometown, bragging that no one could stop him from performing anywhere in Nigeria in what appeared to be a reaction posted on X on Saturday.

Nobody can prevent me from giving a performance anywhere in Nigeria… I’ll see you soon, Warri,” he wrote.

Additionally, he shared a photo of the NFF logo with the remark, “Make I no talk.”
