On Monday morning, Davido announced on his X handle that the donation would be allocated to orphanages and a charity focused on fighting drug abuse among young people.
The singer stressed his dedication to positively influencing society, particularly for vulnerable populations.

The OBO singer announced, “Once again, for my birthday this year, we will be donating to orphanages and a charity that supports young people in avoiding drug abuse and addiction. This year’s contribution is N300m. Further details will follow soon.”
Davido has previously made charitable donations to celebrate his birthday.
In November 2021, to celebrate his 29th birthday, Davido donated N250 million to 292 orphanages.
