Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, well known as Iyanya, a well-known musician, believes that Wizkid, Davido, and Olamide, three titans of afrobeats, should be on the same platform as him.
The “Kukere” singer agreed with a supporter who wrote, “When we mention the Old cats like Olamide, Davido, and Wizkid, Iyanya should be acknowledged too.
He released “Kukere” and “Your waist,” two successful singles in 2011, and he has maintained that level of consistency ever since.
Iyanya quickly retweeted and added, “Well.”
In response to a different supporter who expressed a similar attitude, the former Project Fame winner insisted that his fame was no accident and emphasized that his songs received widespread acclaim at a time when the internet wasn’t yet widely used.
The supporter tweeted, “Shout out to @Iyanya He truly introduced the globe to Afrobeats. World-wide popularity for the song Kukere! Even lighthearted conversation can’t undo the impact, which is as large as skelewu (pls correct me gently if I’m wrong).
They’re ignorant, Iyanya retorted.
“Our tunes were played everywhere with zero internet penetration.
According to the knowledge they have, they can act on my tweet.
He boasted, “Let’s count Hits for Hits and tell me how many go fit match.”
