The Nigerian musician Rema has announced that he will not be performing in any cities in December due to health issues.

In a post shared on his Instagram story, the afrobeats artist revealed his decision.

It breaks my heart to tell that I won’t be doing any performances in December,” he added. I need time to recover because I’ve been touring and have neglected my health. We’re back in 2024. ❤️

The popular Afrobeats artist Davido responded to Rema’s post on his Instagram account, writing: “The job ain’t easy, physically and mentally.” Beyond all aspirations, you have made Africa and the world proud.

“Get some rest, @heisrema, and return stronger.”

The song “Calm Down,” which has broken numerous streaming and chart records, is Rema’s most well-known work internationally.

The 23-year-old recently dazzled audiences with a performance at the 20,000-seat O2 Arena in London.

Abuja, Benin, and Lagos were on his now-canceled December tour schedule.

On December 9, he was scheduled to play at the Hey Neighbour Festival in South Africa.
