Darwin Nunez, an attacker from Uruguay, has declared Luis Suarez, a former Barcelona player, to be the world’s best striker.
Nunez made this statement after Suarez called him one of the world’s top No. 9 players.
Nunez, a prominent player for Liverpool, recently scored three goals in Uruguay’s 3-0 victory against Bolivia in a World Cup qualifying match, earning Suarez the title as one of the best No. 9s.

Suarez, who turns 37 in January, previously stated that he is “extremely happy” with his diminished role for Uruguay and that Nunez is “one of the best No. 9s in the world” as his backup.
As reported by Metro UK, Nunez said, “Hearing that he praises me makes me very happy,” when informed about Suarez’s assertion that he is among the finest attackers in the world.
“I think [Suarez] is the best striker; you have to cherish the time he spends with us.”
“You have to enjoy him; he is one of Uruguay’s greatest No. 9s in history.”
