An arrest warrant has been issued by the police for former Chelsea and Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.
Sturridge, who recently announced his retirement from the game of football in the summer, is confronted with a number of legal issues in the country.
Sturridge’s pet Pomeranian, Lucci, was taken from his Los Angeles home in July 2019, which is when the scenario in court started.

The 34-year-old offered a prize for Lucci’s safe return in a last-ditch effort.
But according to the Mirror, Foster Washington, a rapper better known by his stage name Killa Fame, claimed to have made it possible for Sturridge and his dog to get back together.
The rapper filed a civil action against Sturridge after claiming that the footballer never gave him the promised compensation.
A Los Angeles judge decided in favour of Washington in December 2021, ordering Sturridge to pay $30,000.
When Sturridge was called to a “debtor’s exam” in September 2022, a process intended to look into the Englishman’s financial situation, legal procedures advanced.
Sturridge, though, did not appear, and his absence caused the situation to worsen.
According to the article, a warrant for his arrest has been issued, and a fresh hearing is scheduled for November 30.
