Dangote Refinery announces a reduction in petrol prices, offering relief to marketers and boosting affordability in Nigeria’s energy sector.
On Sunday, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery declared a decrease in its price for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly referred to as petrol, lowering it to ₦970 per litre for oil marketers.
Anthony Chiejina, the company’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, revealed this information in a statement.
He stated that the decision reflects the refinery’s gratitude towards Nigerians “for their steadfast support in turning the refinery into a reality.”
According to the statement, this change represents a reduction from the refinery’s earlier announced ex-depot price of ₦990.

“Furthermore, we express gratitude to the government for their support, as this will enhance the efforts established to promote domestic enterprise for our shared well-being,” part of the statement noted.
The refinery is committed to maintaining the quality of its petroleum products while ensuring they are environmentally friendly and sustainable. We assure you that our offerings meet high standards.
We are committed to continuously increasing production to meet and exceed our domestic fuel consumption, thus eliminating any concerns about a supply shortage.
The reduction would enable marketers to save approximately ₦20 per liter of petrol purchased from the plant located in Lekki.
