Senator Shehu Sani has cautioned Nigerians to not count on the Dangote refinery as their source of freely giving petrol like a “father Christmas”.
NNPCL has stated that global market forces dictate the pricing of petroleum products from all refineries, including Dangote Refinery. The statement follows this announcement.
On Sunday, Sani expressed on his X handle that Aliko Dangote – the Chairman of Dangote Group- is a businessman who prioritizes profit-making over social services and fuel charity.

He clarified that Nigeria’s energy sector remains stable and has a promising future thanks to the NNPCL.
Dangote is a businessman engaged in commerce and not for philanthropic or fuel welfare work.
You cannot rely on him to be your “Santa Claus” for gas money.
The stability and future of Nigeria’s energy sector are still in the hands of NNPCL.
