Aliko Dangote, the President of the Dangote Group, expressed his gratitude towards President Bola Tinubu for his unwavering support in the commencement of diesel and aviation fuel production at the Dangote refinery. In a statement released on Saturday, Dangote acknowledged Tinubu’s encouragement and advice as crucial factors in the successful realization of the project.

Dangote also extended his appreciation to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Limited), the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), and the Nigerian people for their support and belief in this groundbreaking endeavor.

With production officially underway, Dangote emphasized the significance of this achievement for Nigeria, describing it as a game changer that showcases the country’s capability to execute and deliver large-scale projects.

He expressed gratitude towards the bankers and financiers, both local and offshore, for their remarkable patience and support during the challenging times. Additionally, he extended his appreciation to the Government of Lagos State, led by Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for their proactive approach in swiftly resolving the various obstacles encountered during the project’s execution. He expressed immense gratitude towards them.

Furthermore, he sincerely thanked the host communities and their traditional leaders for their enduring patience, understanding, and willingness to collaborate in finding mutually beneficial solutions to the numerous issues faced during the construction of the facility.

Lastly, he acknowledged the significant contributions of the staff members, expressing his heartfelt thanks to them for their invaluable role in the project’s success.
