According to Eba, the opposition has no grounds to operate as the APC has already addressed the concerns and needs of the people. He further stated that if the opposition parties conduct themselves appropriately, there may be an opportunity for them to join the APC.
Eba argued that there was never meant to be opposition in the first place, as the APC’s focus is on delivering good governance.
He also highlighted that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) had negatively impacted Nigeria’s economy, and the APC’s efforts were aimed at reviving it.
Eba concluded by asserting that the absence of opposition does not lead to autocracy in Cross River State, as the APC is committed to democratic principles and believes in the power of the people.
