Innocent Ujah Idibia, also known by his stage name 2Baba, has chastised Nigerians for worrying excessively about his family.

The singer of African Queen acknowledged that despite acting as though he has developed a thick skin in response to Nigerians’ attacks of his family over the years, he still gets wounded occasionally.

The father of seven bemoaned that Nigerians who implied he was a deadbeat parent to his kids had never offered to pay for any of their education expenses.

This was said by 2Baba while he was a guest on the most recent episode of the Afrobeats podcast, which is hosted by British-Nigerian media personality Adesope Olajide.

“Many people talk about kids, fatherhood, motherhood, and the entire circle,” he remarked. Many individuals discuss it in terms of public opinion. But it goes deeper than that. Nobody has the exact design for this gadget.

The link between you and your small ones [children] is the fundamental truth of the situation. There are so many various ways to locate it. There isn’t just one way to do things or one set of rules.

“I talk to my people as though they are my friends. They are not subject to my authority. I communicate with them in the same way that I do with my mother and friends.

“I receive a lot of jabs [trolling]. There are many people who have negative things to say about me. On social media, I’ve been the target of numerous jokes. Additionally, it might be painful at times. Some people will occasionally just post nonsense on social media. It’s similar to when terrorists bomb innocent civilians.

“And I’ll begin to wonder why, despite their genuine concern for my family, none of those critics have yet offered to help me pay for my children’s school expenses. Not even one soul.

However, 2Baba has subsequently refuted all of the rumours.
