An Oyo State High Court in Ibadan has invalidated the selection and appointment of Oba Sakirudeen Oyeleye as the Onifiditi of Fiditi, as reported by Obasanjonews.com. Fiditi is identified as one of the towns within Afijio Local Government Area.
Presided over by Justice K.B. Olawoyin, the court issued a mandatory injunction to set aside the presentation of the Staff of Office to Oba Sakirudeen.
This staff was officially presented to Oyeleye on October 18, 2021, by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and other officials.

Furthermore, the court ruling included a restriction on all defendants from taking any further actions in the process of filling the vacant stool of the Onifiditi of Fiditi until the suit is resolved.
The plaintiffs in this case, Samuel Ogunkunle and Bayo Oyewale, were legally represented by R. A. Olawuwo and B.M. Olimene. Additionally, the court ordered a cost of N200,000 to be paid in favor of the plaintiffs and adjourned the suit until May 22.
