Hip-hop musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, was controversially killed. On Monday, the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba placed 37-year-old Fisayo Ogedengbe, an auxiliary nurse, under arrest.

According to reports, the late singer passed away as a result of shots the nurse gave him.

Similarly, magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun directed the repatriation of Mohbad’s friend, Ayobani Sadiq, who is also being held as a suspect in the case, to police custody.

On the other hand, the magistrate granted bail totaling N20 million to two individuals: Mohbad’s former boss, Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and a socialite from Lagos, Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry. Both individuals were detained by police on October 6 and were suspected of killing Mohbad.

“Naira Marley and Sam Larry, the defendants, are hereby granted bail in the sum of N20 million with three responsible sureties in like sum pending the legal advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution,” the magistrate said.

One of the sureties must also be the owner of a landed property. The defendants’ weekly visits at the State Criminal Investigation Department and the surrender of their passports are requirements of their bail.

Olatunbosun cautioned that nobody should get in touch with her directly regarding the matter.

“Any attempt to get in touch with me personally would be documented and might be revealed in public court proceedings,” she continued.

Since the police claim that the issue is still being investigated, Olatunbosun postponed the case to November 29 in order to get advice from the DPP.
