Two individuals, Basil Eze and Awaisu Jibrin, were each given a three-month prison term for defaming others’ reputations by a Karu Upper Area Court in Abuja on Friday.

The offenders had the choice of a N10,000 fine apiece, according to the judge, Malam Isa Adamu.

The guilty parties, who are Garki, Abuja residents, pled guilty to character slander.

Yakubu Tijani, the complainant, reported the incident to the Garki police station on October 4, according to earlier testimony from the prosecution’s attorney, Olariwaju Osho.

After asking the defendants for directions to a street, he claimed that they accused the complainant of “shrinking” their genitalia.

However, the police claimed that during their inquiry, it was discovered that the convicts’ genitalia were not “stolen” when they were transferred to the hospital.

The act, according to him, violated the terms of Penal Code Section 392a.
