Court finds Bishop Oluwafeyiropo guilty of raping assistant pastor

Oluwafeyiropo Daniel, a Lagos cleric, was found guilty by an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court of raping his assistant pastor.

Daniel, the Bishop of I Reign Christian Ministry, was found guilty on Friday by Justice Rahman Oshodi.

The self-styled Bishop had refuted the allegations, stating in court that the purported survivors had plotted to discredit him for the acts.

On Friday, under state attorney Mr. Babajide Boye’s cross-examination, the defendant restated his belief that the accused survivors plotted to harm him.

Additionally, he denied paying N100,000 for medical care to one of the purported survivors.
