The FCT Police Command disclosed the specifics of the altercation that occurred at Banex Plaza in Abuja over the weekend.
Initially reported by Obasanjonews.com, chaos erupted at the well-known Banex Plaza phone market in the Wuse 2 region of Abuja due to a clash between hoodlums and military personnel.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, shed light on the incident that unfolded at the bustling phone market.
According to Adeh, the conflict arose when Suleiman Ahmed, who had purchased a faulty phone from shop owner Suleiman Ibrahim at New Banex, accompanied by four soldiers, approached the seller for a replacement.

The shop owner resisted the request, leading to a confrontation between the two parties and the military personnel.
This altercation escalated, prompting some angry individuals in the market to attack the soldiers, causing a commotion in the vicinity.
All involved parties were summoned for interrogation, and the military personnel were handed over to their organization for appropriate measures to be taken.
Despite the unrest, peace has been restored in Banex and its surroundings, with the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, encouraging residents to carry on with their lawful activities without apprehension.
