This incident led to the death of Fatima Sadauki.
According to the police report, six additional individuals were injured and are presently being treated at General Hospital Kainji in New Bussa.
The explosion damaged a dozen houses, and search-and-rescue efforts continue. Villagers worry that more victims might still be trapped beneath the debris.
Further reports indicate that the dynamite was stored in a shop near the mining site, which has been destroyed along with more than half of the village’s buildings and shops.
