Gov. Hope Uzodimma is improving Imo beyond expectations, especially in the oil producing areas, according to Mr. Nkenna Nzeruo, a Commissioner with the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC).
This was said by Nzeruo during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Owerri.
He said that the three hospitals Uzodimma established in the Ohaji Egbema, Oguta, and Oru East LGAs, each with state-of-the-art amenities, were evidence of his developmental achievements.
“Gov. Uzodimma has demonstrated that there is money in Imo State by using the 13 percent oil derivation from FG to ISOPADEC to fund the majority of the projects he is launching, particularly these three hospitals.
“Working in ISOPADEC as a commissioner for Sen. Hope Uzodimma has demonstrated how positive change is possible.
“During the many years that ISOPADEC had existed in Imo, there had never been any significant project that could be finished and given the name ISOPADEC.
“However, the governor has shown today that ISOPADEC can utilise the monies properly for the benefit of the populace.

“Those hospitals are now complete and officially opened. The governor has completed a number of rehabilitation projects in local governments or oil-producing towns, according to Nzeruo.
He continued by saying that the governor has finished 61 additional projects in various fields across the state’s 27 LGAs, particularly in the oil communities.
With the assistance of ambulances and mobile clinics, Nzeruo said that Uzodimma’s administration also upgraded and outfitted 305 primary healthcare institutions throughout the state’s 305 electoral wards.
The governor, according to him, rebuilt and outfitted the Dan Anyiam stadium.
“Despite the difficulties of insecurity and diminishing financial resources, it is amazing that Gov. Uzodimma is able to achieve this level of infrastructural transformation in Imo within a short period of time.
In the three oil-producing LGAs of Ohaji Egbema, Oguta, and Oru East, there are some elementary school projects in the works, according to Nzeruo.
According to the ISOPADEC commissioner, Uzodimma educated young people to understand the advantages of agriculture and encouraged them to embrace it.
He mentioned the approximately 15,000 young people who have received ICT training.
He therefore urged all Imo citizens to turn out in large numbers and support the governor in his bid for reelection.(NAN)
